  4. Wheel of Luck is a game similar to the TV game show Wheel of Fortune.
  5. Settings can be changed and preferences saved to disk. Sound is supported
  6. through Windows MCI, if a sound board is installed. Wheel of Luck requires
  7. VBRUN200.DLL to be in your Windows SYSTEM directory. If you don't have this
  8. file, you can get it from almost any local bulletin board service.

  22. STARTING A NEW GAME

  24. To start a new game, choose NEW GAME from the FILE menu. Enter the player
  25. name(s), click OK, and you're off!
  26.  
  27. COUNTDOWN TIMER ON/OFF
  28.  
  29. If you've entered more than one player, the countdown timer is automatically
  30. activated (it doesn't make sense to time yourself). You get 10-seconds to
  31. decide if you want to spin the wheel, buy a vowel or guess the phrase. If you
  32. choose to spin the wheel, you get 10-seconds after the wheel stops to pick a
  33. letter. If you choose to buy a vowel, you get 10-seconds to pick a vowel. If
  34. you choose to solve the phrase, you get 30-seconds to pick the missing letters.
  35. Be aware that once you've picked a letter, you can't go back if you make a
  36. mistake! You can disable the countdown timer function from the OPTIONS menu.

  38. SOUND ON/OFF

  40. If you have a sound board that can play Windows WAV files, you'll get sound
  41. effects while playing. If you don't have sound support, the speaker will beep.
  42. You can disable all sound effects from the OPTIONS menu.

  44. SPIN DECELERATION ON/OFF
  45.  
  46. Normally, the wheel spins fast then slows down to a stop. If it seems too slow
  47. on your PC, you can gain some speed by turning the spin deceleration off from
  48. the OPTIONS menu.

  50. SAVE SETTINGS

  52. After changing the above OPTION settings to your liking, choose SAVE SETTINGS
  53. from the OPTIONS menu.
